Business Survival Workshops

Chamber announces affordable business survival workshop series in collaboration with EDC-VC In an effort to help businesses in the Ojai Valley, the Chamber and the Economic Development Collaborative of Ventura County (EDC-VC) will present a series of three workshops designed to help your business make it through these challenging times. Starting on Thursday, March 19, the morning workshops will begin at 7:30 a.m. and run approximately 90 minutes followed by a 30-minute question and answer period, and will be held on different days approximately two weeks apart at Soule Park Golf Course.
Topics to be covered are:
March 19 (Thursday): Business Planning & Management - Every business needs a plan. Through this workshop you'll gain valuable information about surviving tough times, and how to position your business for maximum growth as the economy rebounds.
April 1 (Wednesday): Financial Performance Improvement - strategies and resources for finding money in your current operations, getting the funding your business needs, and improving your relationship with banks and vendors.
April 13 (Monday): Marketing and Communications - Every business needs to learn how to tell its own story. This workshop focuses on sharpening your message, with an emphasis on retaining your best customers through quality customer service, and reaching and attracting new customers through various marketing and advertising strategies.
The workshops will include printed materials, and will provide ample opportunity for interaction with multiple presenters, each of whom will be a professional in various aspects of business management and development.
Cost to Chamber members for attending any workshop is $10 per person per event, or $25 for the series of three, paid in advance. Cost to the public is $20 per person per event or $45 for the series of three, paid in advance. To keep this workshop series affordable, only minimal refreshments will be offered.
