Osel Nyingpo will host a screening of Recalling a Buddha: Memories of the Sixteenth Karmapa.
The director, Gregg Eller, will attend and offer a Q&A after the show.
The Sixteenth Karmapa was the leader of Tibetan Buddhism's Kagyu lineage. How he lived and how he died gives us the example of an awakened being, a person with a noble heart.
Produced over 5 years, Recalling a Buddha features commentary from 13 extraordinary Tibetan Lamas, is 97 minutes long, and features never before seen archival footage and photos. Viewers have used terms like "inspiring," "magnificent," and "stunning" to describe the film.
