"Hang 10" Opens at Ojai Valley Museum

The prestigious Ojai Studio Artists celebrate ten years of showing together with the next exhibition at the Ojai Valley Museum. The show, entitled “Hang 10”, is based on how the artists perceive the last ten years of making their respective art. Visitors will view a photograph of each artist’s work created 10 years ago. The photos have been been placed adjacent to a recently reworked 2012 piece. This contemplative exercise, devised by museum director Michele Pracy, encouraged the artists to look back over time and explore how their artwork has evolved over the past 10 years.
The exhibit, “Hang 10”’, runs, from April 19 through June 10, 2012, at the museum. Artist Reception and Student Scholarship Awards Presentation will be on June 2, from 5 to 7 pm.
The museum is located at 130 W. Ojai Avenue, Ojai, CA. Admission: free for current 2012 members, adults - $4.00, students - 18 and under - $1.00, children 6–18 - $1.00 and children 5 and under – free. Gallery Hours are Tuesday – Saturday 10 to 4 pm; Sunday, noon to 4 pm. Tours are available by appointment.
